Between The Lines: Short Film
"Between the Lines" is a metafictional script where Owen, a seemingly perfect protagonist in an idyllic small town, begins to notice bizarre inconsistencies in his reality, leading him to suspect his life is being controlled. As the story unfolds, he discovers he's a character in a novel being written by an overwhelmed author, and together they confront themes of free will, control, and self-identity.
These images capture the creative journey of bringing Between the Lines to life. As the director, I worked closely with my crew and cast to craft each scene, from reviewing shots on set to guiding pivotal moments with our talented actors.
As the creator, writer, and director of Between the Lines, I oversaw the project from concept to completion, collaborating with a dedicated crew to bring the story to life. We successfully raised funds to cover permits, equipment, and other essentials. The result was a rewarding showcase at a local film festival and a live broadcast on Marin Television.
